Easy Chocolate Caramel Slice

With a rich and crumbly base, delicious gooey caramel that holds its shape and decadent chocolate this is the perfect old-fashioned caramel slice to impress all your friends with.

Be sure to add a little butter to the chocolate layer to make it lovely and glossy and use a knife dipped in hot water to cut into perfect squares.

Instructions:

1. Crush the biscuits in a food processor. Add the melted butter and process until combined.

2. Press the mixture into a greased, lined 20x30cm shallow baking tin.

3. Combine the chopped Jersey Caramels with the cream in a small pan. Stir over a low heat until smooth. Pour over the base and allow to set.

4. Melt the chocolate with the shortening. Stir until smooth then spread over the filling.

5. Chill the slice until set and cut into squares to serve.

Ingredients:

2 Packets Griffin's Chocolate Chit Chats
100g Butter (melted)
300g Jersey Caramels (chopped)
1/3 Cup Thickened Cream
250g Dark Chocolate
10g Vegetable Shortening
